Heritage
The Tollygunge Club in Kolkata is India’s premier country club, ranked among the top 20 clubs globally. Spanning 100 acres, it features a clubhouse over 220 years old and is located just 9 km from central Kolkata. Founded in 1895 for British merchants and bankers, Tollygunge Club started as an equestrian facility and has evolved into a versatile club with unique flora and fauna. It offers golf, tennis, squash, swimming, and equestrian sports, bridge room, salon, and ayurvedic center. The Tollygunge Club was founded by a Scottish banker, William Dixon Cruickshank to provide facilities for games, sports and pastimes in the neighborhood of Kolkata, then called Calcutta, and to afford to its members all the usual privileges, advantages, conveniences and accommodation of a residential and Gymkhana Club.

Accommodation
Tolly has excellent facilities for accommodation for Members and their guests. There are 67 rooms including Deluxe, Junior Suite, Suite and Cottages. The rooms are divided between the Tolly Towers, the Tolly Terrace and the Grand Stand Pavilion. Every room is airconditioned, elegantly furnished and provided with wall mounted television, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker. All the rooms are also equipped with wi-fi facilities. Breakfast is complimentary. Each room is provided with dedicated “Room Service” menu card and food / beverages are made available as per the policies laid out for the same.

Bio Diversity
Tolly lies along the Adi Ganga (Tolly’s Nullah), once part of the Ganga River. The area originally had mangrove vegetation, which gradually changed to freshwater plants as salinity decreased. Over time, both native and exotic trees were introduced, creating rich biodiversity. The club’s golf course, trees, and ponds now provide habitats for many birds such as mynas, kingfishers, egrets, and wagtails. Despite urbanization, some wildlife like jackals, snakes, and frogs still survive in this green oasis.

Food & Beverage
Food & Beverage at Tollygunge Club offer a wide range of delightful dining options. The Club features formal dining halls as well as informal restaurants and sit-outs serving Indian, Continental, Chinese and South Indian cuisine. It also includes a pastry shop and a fast-food outlet. In addition, occasional and weekend pop-up counters of well-known food brands provide members and guests with added variety.
